Winery History

The Garsa brand was developed to focus on the Mediterranean grape varieties that prosper in the Sierra Foothills - grapes with their European origins in Spain, Italy, Portugal, the Rhone region of France. Fruit forward in style, yet complex in character, Garsa will introduce you to new California wine discoveries.

About the Winemaker

Nancy's career as a winemaker has taken her from her degree at U.C. Davis to Australia, Sonoma, Napa, and now to the Sierra Foothills where she was the winemaker at Perry Creek Winery in El Dorado County before becoming the winemaker for the developing portfolio of Garsa wines.

We at Garsa Winery invite you to visit us at one - or both - of our fun, relaxing tasting rooms (the only place outside of the Internet where you can purchase Garsa wines): in the heart of the Gold Rush community of Murphys (Calaveras County) and in the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg - just minutes from downtown Sacramento (a perfect venue for a summer weekend "staycation").
